The two body styles now available — Double and Open — are all among the roomiest in the segment, and the All-New Ford Ranger comes with an extensive list of practical features that are available across the series.

The All New Ranger’s Duratorq TDCi 2.2L VG Turbo engine delivers 150PS and powerful 375Nm of torque. With newly engineered powertrains and new six-speed transmissions, the All-New Ranger delivers class-leading fuel efficiency and a quieter, superior driving experience.

"Combining the toughness and capability of a pickup truck with smart technology, outstanding safety, excellent fuel economy, quality and comfort, the All-New Ranger will redefine the pickup truck segment in Thailand and markets across ASEAN,” said Peter Fleet, president of Ford ASEAN.

“The All-New Ford Ranger is brought to you by Ford, a company that knows trucks, and can take on anything you throw at it. That’s why we say it’s ‘All-New Ford Ranger versus the world’,” added Fleet.

‘Wildtrak’ Stands Out from the Crowd

Ford also celebrated the ASEAN reveal of its range-topping Double Cab 4x4 3.2L VG Turbo Wildtrak at the Motor Expo.

Equipped with the new Duratorq TDCi 3.2L VG Turbo, the Wildtrak has a substantial 470 Nm of torque and power rated at 147 kW (200 PS). The fuel consumption of this five-cylinder diesel engine in a combined cycle is among the leaders in its class, with 9.6 L/100 km (10.4 km/L).

Wildtrak, available in both 3.2L and 2.2L models, includes an attractive Sport Package with roof rail, sport bar, box rail, bedliner and special Wildtrak seat, steering wheel and door trim.

In addition to these features, the superbly well-equipped Wildtrak comes standard with a limited slip differential for extra safety, as well as smart technologies unmatched among pickups. This includes Bluetooth, USB and iPod connectivity, and voice activated control over the radio, CD, iPod, USB and mobile phone.

All-New Ranger 3.2L Wildtrak also offers Rear View Camera, cruise control, a steering wheel with audio control, side steps and puddle lamps.

Up front, drivers get a commanding view of the road and off-road obstacles, thanks to the high seating position in the driver’s seat. The premium eight-way power adjustable driver seat front seats fitted exclusively to the range-topping Wildtrak is new to Ranger and offers tailored seating at the touch of a button.

The All-New Ranger 3.2L Wildtrak is equipped with the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), which uses advanced sensors to continuously monitor the path the vehicle is travelling on and compares it to the path the driver wants to follow, as indicated by the steering wheel.

Other new control features that assist vehicle stability and control include:

- Hill Descent Control: Helps the driver on steep downhill grades

- Hill Launch Assist: Helps the driver pull away on steep climbs

- Adaptive Load Control: Optimal vehicle stability with a loaded vehicle

- Emergency Brake Assist: Provides additional brake pressure in emergency stopping manoeuvres

- Emergency Brake Light: Signals to other drivers by flashing the indicators when the vehicle decelerates quickly

- Roll-Over Mitigation: Helps prevent the vehicle getting into a roll-over situation

Thailand serves as one of three global production and export hubs for the All-New Ranger — the others being South Africa and Argentina — which will be sold in 180 markets worldwide, making it one of the widest-reaching Ford vehicles globally.
