Suzuki unveils “Suzuki A: Wind” as world premiere of concept car along with New Suzuki Swift Energy Green at the 30th Thailand International Motor Expo 2013

Suzuki Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. underscores its leadership as innovative compact car maker with the world debut of Suzuki A: Wind, the newest concept car. It is the latest world class energy-efficient prototype and another breakthrough vehicle for Suzuki. This is a beginning of the new era of Eco car which will be fully equipped with new standards that will rock the Thailand automotive market again. Moreover, the New Suzuki Swift Energy Green Limited Color will also be introduced at the 30th Thailand International Motor Expo 2013 with special offers for customers nationwide to enjoy the end of the year with happiness.

Mr Takayuki Sugiyama, President of Suzuki Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said: “Suzuki wants to thank all of Thai customers for their ongoing trust and confidence in our quality products and services. To underscore its market leadership and respond to the 30th Thailand International Motor Expo 2013’s concept of “Innovative Energies — World-Changing Vehicles”, Suzuki this year is introducing the world premiere of Suzuki A: Wind, the newest concept car. This is the latest world class energy-efficient prototype and another breakthrough vehicle for Suzuki. This is a beginning of the new era of Eco car, to be fully equipped with new standards, to rock the Thailand’s automotive market again. Moreover, the New Suzuki Swift Energy Green Limited Color will also be introduced too. The vehicle comes in stylish green metallic to respond to the demands of the new generation customers whose lifestyles are unique.

Mr Wallop Treererkngam, General Manager, Suzuki Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said: “Previously, Suzuki has proved to be a huge success in marketing compact and Eco cars. The company is confident that the trend and direction of compact and Eco cars is likely to grow and continue to gain popularity among customers undoubtedly. Studies of the market in the past several years until now, found a dramatic increase in the number of consumers giving their interest into compact cars. The increase is accounted for almost 20 percent of the whole passenger cars. The compact and Eco car market has expanded more than 5 times in the past 4 years, with more than 277,846 units sold because of its popularity. This partly was contributed by the Government’s stimulus plans while another part was from the car makers’ marketing promotional campaigns launched to boost the market. This may result in total sales of vehicles at the end of this year to reach 1.3 million units”.
