MG Sales (Thailand) invites everyone to test drive any MG model at the Bangkok International Motor Show and take up on special promotions. Mr. Pongsak Lertrudeewattanavong, Vice President of MG Sales (Thailand) stated, "during the last three years we have introduced four MG models to cater a wide range of Thai consumers: MG3, MG5, MG6 and MG GS. These are the solid foundations that will drive success for our business. We are confident in the quality and reliability of our previous MG models, especially the popular MG3 with its superior performance, great design that offers good value and distinctive feature of being the only B-segment car in Thailand with sunroof making the car a great success. Similarly, the latest offering the MG GS Sport SUV was also a great success with its powerful yet economical 1.5-litre turbo powertrain at prices starting only from 890,000 Baht. Mr. Pongsak also revealed on the progress of the new assembly plant in Chonburi province. It shall be the Southeast Asian manufacturing hub for MG right-hand drive vehicles, which will utilize technologies to produce excellent quality vehicles that meet world-class standards made with Thai workface.

On the world scale, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) as parent company of MG in Thailand and one of the world's largest automotive manufacturer, forecasts the future of global automotive industry and came up with four ideas as follows:

(1) Alternative energies will drive the cars other than petroleum, such as wind, water and electricity. Electric vehicles will satisfy consumer demands for more environmentally friendly and energy saving mode of transport.

(3) All of the electrical and electronic devices around us will be connected via the Internet and integrated into the car to satisfy modern life style and improve ease and convenience of everyday chores.
(4) Many car manufacturers are studying the feasibility of car sharing as it is evident in many developed countries, such as Germany, USA and Singapore.
