Pacific Park Sriracha will be hosting the "20th Pacific Motor Show" between October 28th and November 5th, 2017. Marking its two-decade anniversary, the 22-million-baht event will feature a number of brand new car models from 19 companies and offer a wide array of promotions and discounts to welcome the high season. Visitors will be entitled to special gifts and souvenirs worth more than 500,000 baht. The nine-day motor show expects to see more than 450,000 visitors and generate a total cash flow of 600 million baht.

Pacific Park Sriracha Managing Director Somboon Varapanyasakul said the event will be organized under the concept "Moving On" at Pacific Park Sriracha in the eastern province of Chonburi. Apart from celebrating its 20th anniversary, this year's motor show illustrates the quality and the confidence of the automotive industry as well as what it has to offer.

Mr. Somboon stated, "We have high expectations for the 20th Pacific Motor Show and we will focus on all aspects of this year's event which costs about 22 million baht, hoping to give the best experiences to the manufacturers and visitors. The event is equipped with various facilities and accommodations for everyone's entertainment. This year marks the 20th time we've hosted such event. In addition to many offers from car companies, Pacific Park Sriracha as host will give out three 100,000-baht prizes and three 10,000-baht prizes to six lucky buyers, along with gifts and souvenirs worth 500,000 baht altogether."

The managing director added that partly thanks to the recent economic recovery and the increasing prices of agricultural goods, auto sales have skyrocketed during the past 9 months. Other contributing factors, according to Mr. Somboon, were government spending and special deals and offers from the manufacturers, which are expected stimulate car sales during the last quarter of 2017, which is a high season for the automotive industry. Moreover, financial institutions have relaxed their loan conditionality and offer more flexible credit lines to meet market demand, further triggering auto sales and creating a positive image for the Thai auto sector.

Mr. Somboon noted, "We expect to see no fewer than 600 orders and over 600 million baht in circulation for cars, parts, and accessories. There will be at least 450,000 visitors throughout the nine-day event or 50,000 people per day. We will roll out a number of activities to celebrate our 20-year anniversary and offer the best sales promotions as well as cash prizes worth 330,000 baht to car and motorcycle buyers."

A total of 19 companies will be taking part in the 20th Pacific Motor Show. Eleven of them are car companies including Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Isuzu, Mazda, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, Toyota, and Foton. The rest are motorcycle manufacturers consisting of Benelli, Honda, Toyota, Bigwing, Kawasaki, KTM, Vespa, Yamaha, and Zongshen Ryuka. Visitors will also find many car audio brands and accessory providers. Foton Motor is said to be unveiling its latest model during the event as well.

The 20th Pacific Motor Show occupies an area of about 3,000 cubic meters. During the mourning month of October when the royal funeral of HM the late King Rama IX is taking place, recreational activities and a zone displaying tuner and modified vehicles will be excluded from the event. However, to ensure the best experiences for the visitors, the organizer has installed two additional escalators as well as modernized and enlarged the Pacific Hall area. In addition to car manufacturers, Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital will be offering a wide variety of products for visitors to choose from. All proceeds will go to the construction of a new building at the hospital.

Zones at 20th Pacific Motor Show
  • Basement or ground floor (450 cubic meters) features car audio, tyres, and other accessories
  • First floor (350 cubic meters) and third floor (300 cubic meters) feature motorcycles and big bikes from leading manufacturers
