On show from Piaggio at the 39th Motor Show is Piaggio Medley Special Edition, a premium scooter that combines advanced technology with simplicity and elegance of Italian design. The new scooter looks cool with sportier styling. It has a liquid-cooled 150cc four-stroke single-cylinder i-Get engine complete with electronic fuel injection and automatic start & stop system for fuel efficiency. Riding confidence takes a step further with safety technologies including front and rear ABS and tilt sensor that detects the lean angles and will immediately turn off the engine if the scooter falls over. Eco-friendliness is assured by its Euro 4 emission standard. With its positioning LED lights, this scooter looks even more distinctive and provides better safety in daytime riding. Convenience features include saddle with electronic open-close system to access the storage compartment that is spacious enough for two full-face helmets, a USB charging port, and the fuel tank that has been repositioned to the centre of the footboard for quicker and more convenient refueling. Piaggio Medley Special Edition comes in two special colours: Matt Cometa Grey and Matt Vulcano Black. Both are priced at 127,900 baht.

The popular brand of premium scooters, Vespa, is presenting three models this year. Among them, Vespa Sprint 150 i-Get Carbon Edition is a sporty premium model especially designed for Vespa fans who lead a sporty lifestyle, ready to turn their everyday mobility into an exciting experience filled with sportiness. Striking appearance of its rigid steel body is enhanced by design details in carbon look and "Rosso Dragon" decals in red. In addition to its exciting design, this scooter is packed with advanced technologies including i-Get engine, front ABS and a convenient USB charging port for smartphones and electronic devices. All combine into a package for the best, sportiest riding experience. The customers will also receive a set of premiums exclusively designed for this model, comprising of a helmet in the scooter's body colour, a backpack, a cap, a protection buff and a keychain. Vespa Sprint 150 i-Get Carbon Edition comes in Nero Vulcano (black) at 129,000 baht.

Vespa GTS Super Sport 300 ABS is a powerful "large body" premium scooter with grit character and performance. It is in fact the most aggressive Vespa in the whole family, thanks to the four-stroke four-valve 300cc Quasar engine with liquid-cooling. Its sporty look is given by graphic lines on the sides and the red "S" decals on the front and rear alloy rims. The saddle, despite sporty design, is wide and comfortable. For greater riding safety in all journeys, from short in-city trips to long-distance rides, this premium scooter sports front and rear ABS, Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) and the Tilt Sensor that detects the scooter's lean angles to prevent accidents. Vespa GTS Super Sport 300 ABS exudes the cool look and distinctively personality of its riders in spellbinding Grigio Titanio (Matt grey) at the price of 202,900 baht.

Racing enthusiasts will be eager to meet with Aprilia. This world-class brand of superbikes is introducing two latest models from its RSV4 family: the new Aprilia New RSV4 RF (MY17) and the new Aprilia New RSV4 RR (MY17). With Aprilia's longstanding achievements including 294 Grand Prix races won in Road Racing World Championship and more than 54 world titles, the new RSV4 drew from the best Aprilia Racing technology, refining the already exceptional RSV4 in many aspects, such as electronics, suspension, and brakes. Thanks in part to the work done on the power plant, now compliant with the Euro 4 regulation without sacrificing anything in terms of power and range of use, the new RSV4 shaves one second off lap times on average in comparison to the previous models.

Aprilia New RSV4 (MY17) is the world's first full scale production motorcycle with a high performance, arrow V4 engine, the most revolutionary and powerful engine ever built by Aprilia. An engine that has been made unmistakable because of the use of 'total' electronics, because of its extremely compact size and light weight. The changes implemented in this evolution of the Italian V4 not only resulted in achieving the goals of Euro 4 approval, but also increasing overall reliability and performance, without sacrificing power and maximum torque (which remain respectively at 201 hp at 13,000 rpm and 115 Nm at 10,500 rpm), and not even that inimitable sound that has always been a true soundtrack of the Aprilia V4 engines.

Aprilia is known as one of the best chassis manufacturers in the world and the RSV4 represents the synthesis of this technical prowess. The RSV4 is the only superbike that allows the rider to adjust the engine position in the frame, the headstock angle, the swingarm pivot and the rear end height, naturally in addition to the fully adjustable suspension. Just like a real racing bike. The fork is the latest generation Öhlins NIX unit, as is the TTX shock absorber. On the new RSV4, important changes were introduced to the Brembo braking system: the front relies on a pair of new 5 mm thick steel discs with diameter increased to 330 mm, gripped by the monobloc M50 callipers fitted with new superior friction coefficient brake pads.

In terms of electronics, the Aprilia New RSV4 RF (MY17) and RR (MY17) make perfect what was already top shelf in the previous versions. Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) is the most complete and refined of those currently available on the market, thanks to the repositioning of the inertial platform that governs the operation, improving accurate detection of the dynamic conditions of the bike, resulting in more efficient electronic control strategies.

To distinguish between Aprilia New RSV4 RF (MY17) and Aprilia New RSV4 RR (MY17), the RF is the exclusive version that uses new Öhlins suspension systems and lightweight aluminium forged rims as standard equipment. It stands out for the dedicated graphic that maintains the evocative name of the previous "Superpole" version, but it has a different graphic pattern. As the two highlight models for an ultimate superbike experience from this Italian brand, Aprilia New RSV4 RF (MY17) is priced at 1,225,000 baht and Aprilia New RSV4 RR (MY17) at 1,075,000 baht.

The ultimate experience of Italian motorcycles is emphasised with the presence of Moto Guzzi and is launch of the V7 III. This third-generation V7 celebrates the 50th anniversary of the V7 that has a big fan base worldwide. It is completely revamped to maximize owner satisfaction and riding pleasure while leaving the motorcycle's originality and authenticity unaltered. "TRULY V7, JUST BETTER".

Moto Guzzi's highlight at this year's Motor Show is Moto Guzzi V7 III Carbon Limited Edition, the only member of the V7 III family built in limited production. It interpreted originally and in good taste, combining the authentic V7 style with the prestigious and modern quality of numerous carbon fiber components, such as the shortened and sleek fenders and the side fairings that enhance the character of the Moto Guzzi best seller to the utmost. The V7 III Carbon Limited Edition is matte black with red accents, as seen on the Brembo front caliper, the logos on the side fairings and the Eagle on the fuel tank which provide a nice contrast to the matte black. The 'Made in Mandello' mechanics also stand out, thanks to the satin finished red cylinder head covers. The saddle is unique to this model and boasts brand new water repellent Alcantara(R), a weather-resistant material ideal for outdoor use. The saddle is finished with red stitching. This vehicle also has a black anodized billet aluminium locking gas cap along with a black headlight frame, injector covers and rear brake master cylinder. Each bike is serially numbered with a plate affixed to the handlebar risers: there are only 1,921 units available, a number that recalls the year that Moto Guzzi was established. As refined as a work of art, this V7 III Carbon Limited Edition truly deserves special attention from collectors of legendary Italian motorcycles. It is priced at 675,000 baht.

Another Moto Guzzi on show is Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone, which now has a stronger and more personal aesthetic connotation than it ever had before. It embraces the darkness of its matte black paintwork that goes well with the graphic dedicated only to this model. The instrumentation mounts a spectacular unit with a single circular display 100 mm in diameter. Its saddle is fitted with a passenger grab strap. Sticking with V7 tradition, this model is also available in other attractive, satin-finish colours inspired by typical 70's shades besides Nero Ruvido (matte black): Verde Camouflage (green), Azzurro Elettrico (blue) and Giallo Energico (yellow). The total "dark matte" look characterises this V7 III and distinguishes it from the other versions, but that is not the only difference. The V7 III Stone is the only V7 III that arrives with spoked wheels and single circular display instrumentation. The front fender was also shortened to highlight its essential sporty look. Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone is priced at 610,000 baht. Interested customers can pre-order the two models from Moto Guzzi at this event.
