The latest addition to Goodyear's Assurance TripleMax Series is designed to significantly increase drivers' safety and confidence

Goodyear Asia Pacific today announced the regional launch of the latest tire in the mid-passenger segment, the Assurance TripleMax 2. The innovative design of the Assurance TripleMax 2 optimizes grip and short braking distance under wet conditions, enabling drivers to stop faster and drive safer. The Assurance TripleMax 2 launch will be Goodyear's most important product launch in 2018, coinciding with Goodyear's 120th anniversary since its foundation in 1898.

Following the success of the Assurance TripleMax, which has won the trust of major car manufacturers and consumers since being launched in 2013, the Assurance TripleMax 2 enters the market to meet rising demand both from consumers and from manufacturers and boasts updated technology designed to maximize safety and durability.

Ryan Patterson, Goodyear Asia Pacific President, commented at the launch: "Globally, we have been extremely successful with our Assurance TripleMax tires on the back of their strong offer for mid-passenger car manufacturers. As pioneers in tire technology, we consistently keep challenging ourselves to innovate and develop products that offer better driving experiences for consumers. We are confident that drivers will see the clear advantages of these fantastic Assurance TripleMax 2 tires in terms of wet weather performance and enhanced driving experience."

"Be it the first tire to land on the moon with NASA Astronauts or the first radial tires for commercial aircraft, Goodyear has always been at the forefront of technology and has pushed itself to design and manufacture ground-breaking technology resulting in high performing products. We are proud to announce this key launch as we celebrate the 120 years of innovation at Goodyear." Patterson concluded.

Assurance TripleMax 2 enhances safety and delivers a long-lasting comfortable ride, without compromising on safety – the hallmark of all Goodyear tires. In addition, it is the first tire to boast Goodyear's latest HydroTred Technology for maximum grip and assurance under wet conditions. With its new design and compound, Assurance TripleMax 2 successfully positions safety and well-balanced performance passenger tire in mid- segment with key offering on superior wet braking.

In addition, Assurance TripleMax 2 targets maneuvering performance and noise control as key elements for an enriched driver experience. Under HydroTred Technology design, tread pattern and contact pressure generate an optimized footprint for effortless driving.

Through these new developments, the new Assurance TripleMax 2 delivers upgrades in four key performance areas:
  • Excellent Wet Performance: Assurance TripleMax 2 applies an innovative compound formulation for increased stickiness and optimized microstructure for maximized grip and braking performance in wet road conditions.
  • Enhanced Handling Performance: HydroTred Technology applies an optimized footprint and ideal contact pressure to deliver an enhanced driving experience with higher tire cornering stiffness and steering precision.
  • Improved Noise Performance: Innovative tread pattern designed to minimize pattern noise throughout tire life, providing a smoother and more comfortable drive.
  • Resistance Performance: Assurance TripleMax 2 incorporates additional technical features on the sidewall and construction design and materials, in order to increase resistance to sidewall impacts and environmental influences.
