Bangkok--5 Nov--Mitsubishi Motors

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand (Co., Ltd.) recently announced its Q3 (July – September) sales results, which were positive and continued the automaker's upward trend so far in 2018, and putting the company on the right track to its 2018 targets.

From July to September 2018, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand sold 20,156 vehicles against Thailand's industry total of 257,466 vehicles. This was a growth of 24.1 percent compared with the same quarter in 2017.

In year-to-date (YTD) terms, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand moved 61,257 vehicles out of its showrooms from January to September 2018. This is a growth of 25.6 percent compared with the same period last year. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand's YTD market share stands at 8.2 percent, against 7.9 percent in the previous year.

In comparison, the industry sold a total 746,581 units, registering a growth of 20.3 percent compared with the same period in 2017.

Mr. Morikazu Chokki, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said, "We are happy with the quarterly sales performance. However, there is still work to be done. We look forward to the last quarter of 2018, especially during the period of the 35th Thailand International Motor Expo 2018. We are confident we will achieve some more wins."

Mr. Chokki attributed Mitsubishi Motors Thailand's success to a few factors.

"We have the right product mix. We have launched very relevant products with performance, technology, design, safety and utility. We also back our vehicles with dedicated customer service that this year has been ranked the 2nd in Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Study by J.D. Power with a score that is above the industry average. While our rank in Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study leaped to the 4th," Mr. Chokki concluded.

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has successfully launched a slew of exciting and technologically-advanced products in 2018 from the limited editions and new model-years of Mitsubishi Attrage and Mitsubishi Mirage, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Limited Edition, to Mitsubishi Xpander.

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand will introduce more exciting products before the end of the year. It remains optimistic of achieving its target market share of more than eight percent against a total industry volume of about 1,000,000 units.

The 35th Thailand International Motor Expo 2018 will be held from November 29 to December 10, 2018 at IMPACT Challenger 1-3, Muang Thong Thani. Mitsubishi Thailand will be located at Booth A7.
