GUANGZHOU, China--8 Aug--PRNewswire/InfoQuest
GAC Motor announced the signing of cooperation agreements with Group Auto Commercial Panama, VK Group Laos, and TH Group Cambodia, taking its products to three new countries.

New sedan, SUV, and MPV models will be introduced to the three countries, bringing more localized products to the markets. At the same time, GAC Motor will provide systematic training on channel construction, marketing and after-sales service to ensure the release and sales of its products in the local markets.

The three new distributor companies will focus on building up exhibition halls, preparing for new product releases, setting up local management and operations to work closely with GAC Motor to increase brand influence.

Pedro Juan Vallarino, President of Group Auto Commercial Panama, commented on the deal "I was impressed by GAC Motor's latest achievements on new energy and intelligence, the automation and customization abilities in its factories, and global R&D strengths." Viengkham Tongnaly, Chairman of VK Group Laos, noted that "GAC Motor's products were suitable for the roads and streets in Laos," while Norm Hav, Chairman of TH Group Cambodia, felt "positive about the cooperation because of GAC Motor's leading position and devotion to product quality, technology innovation and design."

Following the strategy of covering the emerging markets gradually while launching sales in mature markets of developed countries, GAC Motor makes the regions of Latin America and Southeast Asia become another driving force in GAC Motor's process of going global, thanks to the two regions' close trade relationship with China.

GAC Motor continues to consider quality as an important driving force in its global expansion. It has ranked first among all Chinese brands for six consecutive years in J.D. Power Asia Pacific's China Initial Quality StudySM (IQS). Its GS8 SUV has earned the top spot in quality in the large SUV market segment, demonstrating GAC Motor's competiveness of high-end car manufacturing.

GAC Motor now operates in 18 countries and areas including the newly entered market Ecuador this year. Reporting a 69% year-on-year increase in international sales in 2018, GAC Motor also ranked No.1 as the bestselling Chinese automobile brand in Kuwait, Bahrain and Nigeria. In May, GAC Motor International Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GAC Motor opened in Hong Kong. Together with the company's Russian subsidiary opened in April, it will support GAC Motor's strategy of global brand presence.
