Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co. Ltd. recently closed the third quarter of 2019 with year-on-year (YOY) growth in terms of sales and market share. At the end of September 2019, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand recorded total sales of 67,445 units, representing a growth of 10.1 percent YOY. In comparison, the total industry volume (TIV) from January - September 2019 is 761,847, a growth of 2 percent YOY. The result gave Mitsubishi Motors Thailand a market share of 8.9 percent, an improvement from 8.2 percent over the same period in 2018.

"We are pleased to have recorded growth since the start of 2019 to the third quarter of the year. This is a remarkable achievement for us, especially when we consider the

increased competition from industry players who have new products in the same segments as ours," said Mr. Morikazu Chokki, President and CEO, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

"We can attribute the strong performance to our lineup of products that resonate well with market demands and our customers. Our aftersales programs that support our

customers nationwide also contributed to the robust performance," Mr. Chokki added.

One of the main drivers of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand's performance is Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and its new model which recently launched in July 2019. The nameplate

recorded total sales of 10,377 units year-to-date (YTD) and a growth of 11.0 percent YOY. New Mitsubishi XPANDER, the crossover continues to do well in the face of new alternative products by other brands, recording total sales of 12,317 units YTD and a YOY growth of 616.9 percent.

Other models with a strong showing in Q3 2019 include New Mitsubishi Triton sold 26,914 units YTD and the city cars Mitsubishi Attrage and Mitsubishi Mirage sold 17,837 units YTD.

The comprehensive lineup of products continues to be served by a dealer network of 226 outlets nationwide. The drive to incorporate the company's new corporate identity

(CI) and design into the outlets plus the implementation of Advanced Dealer Operation Standard continues.

Mitsubishi car owners will also continue to enjoy the aftersales services as per the slogan 'Rao Doo Lare, Khun Khae Kab' (We Take Care, You Just Drive), which promises Genuine Service, Genuine Parts, Genuine Technicians, Genuine Performance and Genuine Network and Accessibility. Away from the dealerships, Mitsubishi drivers can rely on the M-Drive mobile application for updates on vehicle status, service information and more.

Looking ahead into the remainder of 2019, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand still has a few product announcements to make before the year is out, as the industry gears up for

the upcoming 36 th Thailand International Motor Expo 2019. Car enthusiasts are encouraged to look out for vehicles and services that challenge frontiers, inspire and motivate drivers to keep on exploring life's possibilities, which are in line with the automaker's global brand strategy 'Drive your Ambition'.
