Mazda CX-30 beat COVID-19 with more than 2,000 orders placed

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mazda CX-30 has won over 2,000 orders after its online launch last month, with 80 per cent being for the top 2.0 SP version. In addition, distributor Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd. has already delivered over 1,000 units of the ALL-NEW MAZDA CX-30 crossover to customers, and the company has confirmed that it has enough vehicles to deliver to more customers. Customers do not have to visit the Mazda showroom, but simply visit the www.mazda.co.th website and place orders via Mazda’s SKY Booking system at https://skybooking.mazda.co.th/.

The
COVID-19 outbreak has forced all businesses to monitor and plan on a daily
basis – as normal sales channels are being affected, the internet have turned
into the main sales channel in the present day for Mazda to communicate with
customers, dealers and business partners. The SKY booking service comes as the
Mazda CX-30 becomes the first Mazda model to be launched in a full digital
event, ranging from communications to order placement and sales. This has been
popular with Mazda customers, with online sales increasing continuously.

Mr.
Chanchai Trakarnudomsuk, President of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd., said,
“Although we were unable to launch the Mazda CX-30 normally due to the COVID-19
pandemic, the strong customer confidence in our products and a fully-functional
back office online system was highly effective in turning around the
situation.”
“So we
decided to move ahead as planned, but switched over to digital presentation
instead to relay all the information to the customers the best we can,” he
added. “We also joined hands with dealers in each area to communicate with
customers and introduce new products. The new strategy has been highly
successful, and we have had a large number of customers signing up for test drives.
This has led to more than 2,000 orders being placed for the Mazda CX-30, and
most importantly, we have vehicles to deliver to customers right away.”
“Mazda and
our business partners would like to share our concern and fighting spirit to
the Thai people who are affected by the pandemic – we will fight together,” Mr.
Chanchai concluded. Meanwhile, Mazda has recently announced measures to help
combat the virus pandemic by adopting a “work at home” policy for employees and
putting all upcountry travels on hold from March 23 to April 12 or until
further notice.
