Singapore. Porsche unveiled #DrivingTomorrow, a pop-up exhibition at Jewel Changi Airport that tells the story of the sports car marque's journey towards electromobility, and its future-proof solutions and innovations through the years. Visitors at the exhibition hosted at the World's Best Airport will learn about the vision of Porsche, and its commitments towards a sustainable and fascinating future in greater detail.

"The mindset of shaping the future of the sports car, with enthusiasm and conviction, has always propelled Porsche forward throughout our history. The #DrivingTomorrow exhibition is therefore an invitation to join us as we look back at our proudest innovations in electromobility, and unite our traditions with a sustainable future," said Arthur Willmann, Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Asia Pacific.

"We are happy that Porsche has chosen Changi Airport to host the #DrivingTomorrow exhibition, which showcases its latest innovations. This exhibition at Jewel Changi Airport will be an additional exciting experience for visitors to the airport," said Lee Seow Hiang, Chief Executive Officer of Changi Airport Group.

The exhibition marks the first time Porsche Asia Pacific is displaying the Porsche 356 alongside the Porsche Taycan, bringing together the very first sports car to carry the Porsche badge, and the first all-electric Porsche that carries the company's heritage into the future.

Powered by innovation and tradition

Visionary thinking and a pioneering spirit have long defined the company: in 1898, when Ferdinand Porsche designed the fully-electric and revolutionary Egger-Lohner Phaeton C.2, he was already far ahead of his time.

Today, Porsche continues to set the standard for sporty electromobility, as reflected in the Taycan. The fully-electric car, which production at the Zuffenhausen plant in Germany is also CO2-neutral, was recently recognised as the world's most innovative car by scientists from the Centre of Automotive Management. The Taycan is a sports car with an unmatched driving experience that is pure Porsche - but powered by advanced electric drives, and batteries with high energy and power density that are both fast charging and recyclable.

Visitors at #DrivingTomorrow will also get a glimpse of the brand's future-oriented mindset and design process through excerpts from "Porsche Unseen," a book that opens the gates to previously highly-classified concept studies that were made public just a month ago.

Driving towards a sustainable future

As Porsche pursues the ambition of becoming the most sustainable brand for exclusive and sporting mobility, the company follows a holistic approach covering the economical, ecological and social points of view; and a definitive positioning as an emotive sports car brand that is focused on a product strategy true to the brand core with electric sports cars as a sporty, sustainable perspective.

The drive to last the course is also ingrained in the brand and its enthusiasts, with more than 70 per cent of all Porsche vehicles ever built still travelling on roads across the world today.

For these customers and their cars, new initiatives such as Porsche Impact have been introduced to enable the offsetting of their carbon emissions by directly funding projects that are committed to a greener world. Porsche Asia Pacific has also started carbon-offsetting their events with Porsche Impact, including the #DrivingTomorrow exhibition.

The #DrivingTomorrow pop-up exhibition is located on level two of Jewel Changi Airport. Visitors with kids can also share an interactive experience with Porsche mascots, Tom Targa and Tina Turbo. Entry is complimentary, from 9am to 9pm daily, from 18 December 2020 to 17 January 2021.
