#Krating Daeng gears up for market blitz, gets #Weir Sukollawat to speak for #real men in bid to impress new gen consumers

Krating Daeng, the popular brand of energy drink in Thailand from The Red Bull Beverage Co., Ltd., launched its latest marketing campaign, 'Krating Daeng for the Real Men' with golden boy 'Weir' Sukollawat Kanaros the designated spokesmodel to communicate the brand concept that real men with a heart of gold drink Krating Daeng. Backed by a budget of more than Bht 400-million, the campaign targets the new generation. 'Krating Daeng teams' will be dispatched across the country with social service activities and comprehensive marketing initiatives to reach target consumers in its bid to stay active in the market throughout 2017.

Mr. Surachai Chonglertvarawong, Krating Daeng Marketing Director, The Red Bull Beverage Co., Ltd., said, "Throughout 2017, Krating Daeng is embarking on a marketing blitz with the 'Real Man' campaign, meticulously choosing a spokesmodel who must be known to the Thai people. Furthermore, his personality must fit our brand positioning. We chose 'Weir' Sukollawat Kanaros as our spokesmodel, as part of our key strategy to attract new fans for Krating Daeng. We believe that Krating Daeng's flavour which we have developed systematically and infused with vitamins, goes hand in hand with Weir's good image, thus reinforcing the positioning of Kranting Daeng as the brand for those with a heart of gold, the real men who are synonymous with Krating Daeng; kind-hearted men who are always there for other people and society and who ask for nothing in return. We believe this is what Krating Daeng stands for.

It makes Krating Daeng relevant and remembered by consumers, in particular those who belong to the new generation. We will also increase our marketing activities with our 'Krating Daeng Team' at the forefront. They will visit several areas across Thailand to engage in field activities, serve customers and accelerate sales promotions to ensure that the brand strikes the right chord with target consumers in a bid to stimulate sales in the first five months of the year."

In addition to a new TV commercial starring 'Weir' Sukollawat and other colourful online activities, Krating Daeng has prepared a range of activities to reach the golden new generation, as follows:
  • Krating Daeng Songkran for the Real Man (13-16 April) in Hat Yai, Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen where Songkran will be celebrated following Thai customs and traditions yet in a splashing fun way enjoyed by real men with a heart of gold should, with surprises from participating stars and celebrities.
  • Fair for Workers with a Heart of Gold (1 May) at industrial estates in Chonburi and Bangkok. Not to be missed, this once-a-year special event is being held to give back and thank Thai workers who have been very supportive of the brand. There will be free haircuts, free massages and games to win prizes. Headlining the fair will be Weir Sukollawat, Pattalung, Kratae-Kratai R Siam, Ja R Siam and many more leading stars and celebrities.
