The Value Systems jointly with Huawei South East Asia offering a special recovery assistance program designed to help industrial estates resume operations after the flood crisis in Thailand by offering 300 sets of Ethernet LAN switch equipment free of charge and further special packages to affected businesses, allowing them to quickly rebound from the flood’s impact and achieve enhanced operational efficiency.
Mr. Yang Hua, President of Enterprise Business, South East Asia region, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., said: “Huawei Enterprise is fully aware of the impact of this major flood, which is one of the biggest in Thailand’s history, and the manufacturing sector has suffered considerable damage from this disaster. Our special recovery program, jointly organized with distributing partner The Value Systems, will help address the most urgent requirements of affected industrial estates, and we hope that our contribution will help to speed up the Thai economy overcome this situation.”
The recovery program is primarily focused on affected companies in flooded industrial estates and covers the provision of 300 sets of the Huawei Quidway S2700 Series Ethernet LAN switch to replace flood-damaged hardware free of charge. The S2700 Series promises to deliver outstanding performance, meeting the demands of multi-switch provisioning and access on Ethernet networks while also providing flexible controls and low power consumption.
The Value Systems — Huawei Enterprise’s authorized distributor — will provide delivery and on-site installation services after initial technical inspections, and all equipment offered under this program will be covered by a one-year warranty from Huawei. Equipment distribution will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, affected companies interested in additional ICT requirements can contact Huawei and The Value Systems to acquire special packages that will be available through to early 2012.
Mr. Somsak Pejthaveeporndej, President of The Value Systems, added: “We have been constantly providing aid to companies affected by the flood crisis through our “The Value Systems’ Flood Relief” program, and this collaboration with Huawei allows us to lend a hand in the recovery of the seven inundated industrial estates — including Rojana, Hi-Tech, Saharattananakorn, Bang Pa In, Nava Nakorn, Bang Kradee and Factory Land. Affected companies can sign up with us to trade their damaged equipment with fresh replacements from Huawei, free installation and one year of full warranty, while those interested in additional networking equipment can take advantage of special discounts.”
“The Value Systems’ Flood Relief” program was initiated in October 2011 to provide relief to flood victims. The company has donated THB 500,000 in cash and 10,000 bottles of ECS drinking water to the Flood Relief Operations Center (FROC) at Don Muang Airport in addition to the distribution of 8,700 ready-to-eat meals and 360 bottles of drinking water through the 3rd Army Area’s Flood Relief Center.
The assistance program aims to provide THB 10 million worth of help to affected companies. Huawei Thailand previously contributed to flood relief efforts in Thailand by donating THB 5 million in cash and THB 15 million in telepresence equipment to support flood relief efforts. Huawei employees have also donated THB 50,000 cash to the Thai Red Cross Society.
