Tencent and TrueMove H Exclusively collaborate to launch WeChat Go SIM for Chinese Tourists Visiting Thailand

TrueMove H, the leader in 4G+ mobile service in Thailand, and WeChat, the leading social communications app in China from Tencent, have jointly launched "TrueMove H WeChat Go SIM," a prepaid SIM card specifically designed for Chinese tourists. This is an exclusive deal between TrueMove H and Tencent to provide customers with a convenient way to enjoy unlimited use of WeChat services and a shared experience in Thailand through the TrueMove H 4G+ HD network which offers nationwide coverage.

Tencent and TrueMove H will provide Chinese tourists with a better experience to stay connected and share their travel experiences in Thailand with the launch of TrueMove H WeChat Go SIM, the first and only product offering unlimited use of WeChat services, and a worry-free experience from internet charges while always being connected throughout their journey.

With 980 million monthly active user accounts (MAU) as at September 2017, WeChat is the most popular mobile social communications platform in China, making its users' life more fun, social, convenient and efficient. WeChat is a communication means for Chinese to share their travel experience and communicate to their friends and family at home when they visit to Thailand. The partnership with TrueMove H allows WeChat to offer Chinese travelers an enhanced experience while visiting Thailand. Through its network of partners, including TrueMove H which offers a nationwide 4G HD network, WeChat offers exciting value-added services to its users.

TrueMove H WeChat Go SIM will provide free access to WeChat, local talk time, international direct dialing (IDD) 20 minutes, worry-free data and connections to WiFi by TrueMove H for free, in addition to entertainment through the Lingcod TV mobile app, developed by video streaming provider Sunway Media, which offers high-definition movies, documentaries, and educational content from China. Users will also be able to easily manage their usage through WeChat's mini-self-help program in the Chinese language.

TrueMove H WeChat Go SIM is priced at 279 THB and will be available from 28 February 2018 at True Airport Shops and True Shop at shopping malls. Chinese tourists may opt to make their purchase from online travel agencies in China such as Mafengwo, Tongcheng Tourism, Qyer.com, Ctrip, JD, Tmall, zuzuche and Billion Connect prior to their travels. For added convenience, the SIM will be also available at all 7-Eleven stores in Thailand from 15 March 2018 onwards.
