Tata Young Makes Her Solo Debut in Macao

Recognized as Thailand’s own pop sensation, and one of the most popular international artists in Asia, Tata Young will make her debut in Macao at the Venetian Ballroom at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel on Sunday, April 12, 2009. Tickets will go on sale starting Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 10 am.

In 2004, Tata had a breakthrough in her career and became a world-renowned pop star with her debut English album “I Believe”. This album struck Gold in many Asian countries and hit nine platinums in Thailand, achieved an amazing record sale of over 300,000 units in Japan as a new artist. During the same year, Tata also sang the theme song to the Bollywood blockbuster film, whose album sold over 800,000 units in India, which was considered a phenomenal success for a soundtrack. At 27, this 12-year music veteran has already sold more than 12 million albums and continues to be a symbol of energy and change in the Asian music industry.

She was awarded New Artist of the Year in Japan in 2005and won the 95.5 Virgin International Hitz Awards for Fastest Chart Climber 2006 (El Nin-Yo!), as well as an Indian MTV Immie for best international act.

Tata Young will showcase “Temperature Rising” and “I Believe” — first and second full-length English albums for her debut performance at The Venetian Macao. Tata will soon release her highly anticipated third English album that has successfully completed all its recordings in Berlin and Germany in this coming June. As the first internationally renowned female artist from Asia, Tata continues to break the music barriers in Asia and now to the rest of the world!

With major success in her international album releases, Tata has toured Tokyo, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore and Manila. She also did a very successful eight-city tour in Japan and performed to over 6,000 audiences in every city she goes. Tata has toured most major cities in China and has made an appearance on CCTV.

The 70,000 square-feet, 28-feet-high Venetian Ballroom is the perfect venue for the largest and most lavish themed events. For example, in September 2008, the “EEG Showcase Great Time” was held at the Venetian Ballroom where young Hong Kong pop stars performed. Then in December 2008, the wrap dinner for the popular movie “All’s Well Ends Well 2009” was held at the Venetian Ballroom where a group of celebrities from Hong Kong gathered and enjoyed the premiere of the movie.
