Thai celebrity chef's will be on hand to judge the Cooking Challenge participants and prizes totalling more than 100,000 Thai Baht are on offer.
The Franke Yacht Chefs' Cooking Challenge is free to enter and there are some great prizes are on offer. The top three placed chefs will walk away with a coveted Franke Yacht Chefs' Cooking Challenge trophy. In addition, the winner will receive 20,000THB and a Franke induction hob PIN 320 (retail value 26,900THB); second place will receive 15,000THB and a Franke oven FS 52 MXS (retail value 14,990THB); and third place will receive 10,000THB and a Franke gas hob FCH 80 3G Glass (retail value 8,990THB). Fourth to seventh placed finishers will receive Franke kitchen products.

A first for Thailand (and possibly Asia), celebrity Thai Chefs, Chef Fang and Chef Faifoo, well known from the TV show “Krua INDY” on Channel 5, will kick off the afternoon with a cooking demonstration. That will be followed by the Franke Yacht Chefs' Cooking Challenge from 2pm to 4pm, where 100 ingredients will be divided amongst the Chefs and each Chef will cook a specific dish in the time allocated.
The Celebrity Chef duo and Franke VIP guests will vote for the tastiest and best presented dishes. The winner will be presented at a special cocktail party that evening.
Spaces are limited to seven Phuket-based Yacht Chefs. Applications to enter (including short description of your job, age and experience), should be sent before July 1st to [email protected].
The Franke Yacht Chefs' Cooking Challenge will take place 23rd July 2011, 2pm to 4pm, at “Into the Moon Terrace” at Evason Phuket & Bon Island (Rawai), headquarters of the Six Senses Phuket Raceweek. The Cooking Challenge will be broadcast live on Phuket FM Radio (91.5FM).
