The Living Room welcomes the charismatic jazz vocalist, Michelle Walker. Blessed with a beautifully distinctive voice, the New Yorker blends blues, bebop, swing and soul with playful expressiveness. Michelle will perform jazz standards and original songs with the Randy Cannon Group.

Michelle is often compared to Cassandra Wilson, Nina Simone and Betty Carter in style and tone but has developed her own unique sound and singular voice. She has toured Europe on many occasions and performed at the Lincoln Center's "Women in Jazz Festival", touring with jazz vocal legend Mark Murphy and performing at the White House for the lighting of the National Christmas Tree. Highlights of her career include the opening act on tour of many leading jazz artists, including jazz vocalist Rene Marie, Chris Botti, George Benson, Spyro Gyra, Terrell Stafford and Wynton Marsalis.

The Washington Post said, "Walker's voice has a soul-comforting allure..." while Music Monthly said, "Michelle Walker entices with her vocal signature of relaxed phrasing and a bluesy frenzy – similar to vocal stylings of Lady Day. An original with her own style and innermost story. I demand more writing from Ms. Walker, for her own voice is what sets her apart from the rest."

On April 30, The Living Room celebrates International Jazz Day with "Jazztastic" with nine hours of outstanding live jazz. Music lovers can enjoy a high tea buffet at 990++ baht from 15.00 - 17.00 hrs with Jazziam.
