Lazada kicks off 6th Birthday in Southeast Asia with #Born to Run Marathon Event

Lazada Thailand kicked off celebrations for its 6th anniversary in Southeast Asia with 'Born to Run', a charitable 5km fun run event on 1 April 2018. The event set the pace for further birthday promotions later in the month when a three-day extravaganza, from 25 to 27 April, will feature special discounts, promotions, flash sales and vouchers from a variety of brands and sellers on both international and local products for shoppers to take advantage of.

This year, Lazada gives back to the society who supported it over the years by donating the marathon's registration fees, without any expense deduction, total of 600,000 THB to six foundations including the One Love Foundation, The Voice Foundation, Foundation for the Blind in Thailand, Seub Nakhasathien Foundation, Nonthapoom Home for Children with Disabilities and the Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women.

The buzzing event was held at Queen Sirikit Park from 4.45 am to 8.30 am, and saw around 1,500 health-conscious runners take part. Among the participants were some of the city's best-known faces, including Bella Ranee, Lazada's brand ambassador, and the Face Men's healthy living enthusiasts, Man, Mos and PK. After making it across the finish line, the festivities continued with entertainment and offers in the main sponsor's booths, from brands including Nivea Sun, Saha Group, La Roche Posay, and Warrix. Runners hydrated with Singha drinking water and Milo.

Other sponsors of the weekend extravaganza included Duchess, Fitbit, Jabra, Johnson Health Tech, Vistra, Wacoal, Shopback, and Grab.
