Bangkok--8 May--BEC-Tero Entertainment

In this week's episode of "Brainchild", Apisara "Dao" Kerdchuchuen and Wichai "Ek" Chongprasitphon welcome Sontaya Soontararak from Surin who shows them his semi-automatic rice sorting machine for household businesses. Rice milled at small or household rice mills usually comes out as a mixture of long-grain rice and broken rice. Moreover, according to a survey, rice consumed and sold by farmers is mixed with a lot of other materials, especially grass flowers and small pieces of stone, making it difficult to sell. To solve this problem, Sontaya decided to come up with his semi-automatic rice sorting machine which has so far been well-received by farmers. "Brainchild" judges, Bhanudej "Duke" Vatanasuchart, Dr. Chit Laowattana, and Samaporn "Puk" Rungsrikulpipat challenge Sontaya to improve his creation by ensuring it is able to operate both manually and automatically. Will Sontaya be able to pull it off? Stay tuned and find out together on the show!

In the "Perd Lok Idea" (Exploring Ideas) section, "Brainchild" reporter Manita Farmer takes the audience to the Wonder Light Land Exhibition to experience colourful lights from various sources. She also explores the National History Museum to learn about the crisis that sea turtles face and enjoys the Virtual Reality Powered by Samsung exhibition at the Information Technology Museum where visitors get to enjoy a future forward spectacle using VR technology. All three exhibitions are being held at the National Science Museum located in Klong 5 sub-district.

"Brainchild" airs on Saturday 4 May 2019 at 9am on Channel 28.
