Bangkok--8 Nov--Siam Commercial Bank

To enhance the competence of small- and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) and bring growth to the grass-roots economy, Siam Commercial Bank and the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) recently signed a cooperative agreement to promote privileges for SMEs during 2018-2021. Under the agreement, both organizations will apply all their strengths in providing comprehensive assistance and support to over 200,000 OSMEP-networked SMEs and SCB SME clients in a more efficient manner. They target listing 30 OSMEP-networked SMEs on MAI by 2019 and plan to introduce special courses to broaden perspectives on various forms of SME fund raising. Seen announcing the cooperation are OSMEP Director-General Mr. Suwanchai Lohawatanakul, SCB Senior Executive Vice President and Head of the SME Segment Function Mrs. Pikun Srimahunt, and SCB Executive Vice President, Primary Distribution Division, Ms. Veena Lertnimitr.
