Dorf Ketal conducted a technical collaboration workshop with the Hydrocarbon producers in Asia-Pacific on Feb 13 – Feb 15. Producers from several countries - Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Vietnam, and South Korea attended the workshop. Useful insights on safety, reliability, operational excellence, sustainability, and system integrity and energy conservation were shared and discussed by industry majors. Replacement of DNBP in Styrene plants and DMDS in Ethylene industry is ample testimony of conquest towards sustainable future, combining economic success with environmental protection and social responsibility. Increasing the runlength of the Petrochemical plants through reduction of insoluble polymer make in Cracked Gas Compressors and Rubber/Popcorn polymers in the butadiene plants through the Patented Actify (R) molecules were discussed through shared success stories around the world.

Unplanned downtime and slowdowns, including hydrocarbon losses, impact the reliability and have a significant economic impact.

Dorf Ketal provided useful information on modern reliability and integrity measures through the use of simulation software, predictive tools, automation, and digitalization. Simulation software – ppm ( Predictive Plant Monitoring ), DAT ( Desalter Adequacy Test ), COMPASS ( CGC Monitoring Advanced Simulation Software), Predictive monitoring tools like PED ( Portable Electric Desalter), HLPS, OCM (Oil Compatibility Model), FAT (Fouling Assessment Tool) have helped connect Dorf Ketal to digitalization world.
