Bangkok--22 May--Spark Communications

Stiebel Eltron, Thailand's leading manufacturer of water heaters, water filters, hand-dryers, heat pumps and water pumps faces emerging challenges to preserve market share leadership as well as maintaining strategic growth in the water heater industry as it reaches its saturation point in Thailand. Additionally Stiebel Etron plans to adjust the marketing communication plan in order to solidify the objective to become the leading water specialist as well as the number one preferred brand in the hearts of Thai consumers.

Stibel Eltron, the German-born company, headquartered in Holzminden Germany, has been operating in Thailand for over 20 years with stellar sales record in addition to a loyal and trusting customer base. Stiebel Eltron Thailand currently generates one of the largest sales volume as well as operating one of the largest production bases second to only Germany on the global scale with a sales growth rate of 25% per year as a result of continuous research & development efforts, high standards of products and services, and a very successful strategic marketing plan.

Roland Hoehn, Managing Director of Stiebel Eltron Asia, revealed that "Our prevailing challenge is that the water heater market in Thailand is considered a developed market, which means almost every household is already in possession of water heaters. Therefore, in order to preserve the growth of Stiebel Eltron, we have developed an expansion plan of our market into neighboring countries including Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia and Vietnam as well as focusing on creating a new product marketing plan for water pumps and other sustainable products such as heat pumps".

"Stiebel Eltron focuses heavily on the importance of product research and development. Therefore we have invested 10% of our profit on a department specifically dedicated to this field in order to develop products that are in line with the demands of Thai consumers while still fully complying with German production standards and in turn setting ourselves apart from our competitors". Mr. Roland continued, stating "By introducing new products other than the standard water heaters, water filters and hand-dryers, we have invested 200 million THB to expand our factories in order to increase the production capacity and transform the Thai production base into the main export hub for water heaters and heat pumps as well."

Stiebel Eltron is committed to developing product lines that can provide multifaceted water solutions while being more user-friendly by marketing activities that appeal to all genders and age groups such as sponsoring up to three local football teams as well as developing special promotional campaigns for consumers. In addition Stiebel Eltron also came up with the slogan "Think of water, think of Stiebel Eltron from Germany" which is used in all consumer related campaigns to increase brand awareness.
