The company has also announced a 17% overall growth in 2018 in Thailand demonstrating the country is becoming the company's key production and export hub for APAC and beyond by 2020.

Stiebel Eltron has just signed a regional partnership with Borussia Dortmund, the famous football club from Germany. Aimed at increasing the awareness of both organizations, the agreement is valid in Thailand and Laos for the next two years.

"We are thrilled to announce this great cooperation with Stiebel Eltron," said Mr. Suresh Letchmanan, Asia Pacific Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund. "Stiebel Eltron is a leading German brand with a strong presence in Asia. With them, we are sure to bring our black and yellow passion on the pitch to everyone in Thailand and Laos."

The partnership features numerous activities including events with BVB's mascot and legends in Thailand as well as lucky draws for Stiebel Eltron's customers and BVB fans to win tickets to attend matches in Germany and Asia. A limited-edition Stiebel Eltron water heater co-branded with BVB, XG Dortmund Limited Edition, will also be available soon at a special price of THB 5,590.

"This is a great partnership for us. The Thai community and Stiebel Eltron will be right there behind BVB for an exciting season ahead. We wish them all the best for the 2019-2020 League and Champions League campaigns," said Roland Hoehn, Stiebel Eltron's Managing Director for Asia.

This partnership is an addition to three local football teams that the company currently support: Chiang Mai FC, BGFC and Thai Honda Ladkrabang Football Club.

In 2018, Stiebel Eltron has seen a strong sales growth in both domestic and export of 17% in Thailand after significant investments and these efforts are expected to see even further growth in 2019. The company has completed its second building located at its factory in Ayutthaya with an investment of over 200 million baht to boost its production capacity in a more sustainable process. With it, more storage water heaters and heat pumps will be produced from there for markets across South East Asia. This increased productivity, as well as enhanced marketing and expanded sales channels, will enable Stiebel Eltron to continue to grow in Thailand and the region.

"We are investing massively in Thailand and APAC region especially on the product line and its capacity as well as increased marketing campaigns and expanded sales channels in online platforms and offline stores to further the company's customer reach," Mr. Hoehn added. "Stiebel Eltron is committed to constant research and development to stay ahead of the game and sustain market growth. We will continue to introduce new Green Technology products in the market and we also want to produce these products in Thailand in the future".
