Direct Asia appoints new management team to become Thailands top digital insurance company

Direct Asia (Thailand) Company Limited, the first online car insurance in Thailand, recently appointed Ms. Sirinthip Chotithamaporn as Group Managing Director to oversee Direct Asia in Southeast Asia, with Mr. Voravudh Varikarn as the new CEO of Direct Asia Thailand.

Ms. Sirinthip Chotithamaporn, as Group Managing Director, will take care of Direct Asia's strategies and directions in Asean, under global strategies from Hiscox, a worldwide insurance company with a presence in the US, UK, Asia and Europe. Hiscox is highly experienced and skilled in insurance business. Ms. Sirinthip aims the goal is to brand Direct Asia as the first online insurance service provider in Thailand which will completely transform the car insurance industry into a digital era, while still maintaining its leader position and improving its online selling to facilitate customers to access services 100% online, with attractive benefits. Ms. Sirinthip joined Direct Asia in May 2019 and has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry with Allianz and Cigna. She is also well acquainted with the Asean market. Her most recent position was CEO of Allianz General Insurance Thailand Public Company Limited before joining Direct Asia in 2019.

Mr. Voravudh Varikarn is now the CEO of Direct Asia Thailand. He joined Direct Asia Thailand in July 2019 as the new CEO, with a main mission to drive Direct Asia Thailand as Thailand's #1 online insurance brand under the concept "Think of online car insurance, Direct Asia is top of mind". Customers can access Direct Asia services conveniently online, from getting a quote to purchasing and making a claim. Before joining Direct Asia Thailand, Mr. Voravudh worked in the banking industry for eight years, before spending eight more years in e-commerce and technology. His most recent position was country manager of JobsDB Thailand.

With their skills and experience in e-commerce and digital business, they are thinkers and planners who have a wealth of experience in digital business. Direct Asia is confident that under the leadership of Mr. Voravudh and Ms. Sirinthip, Direct Asia (Thailand) will become the leader of digital insurance in Thailand and Asean, with significant and sustainable growth.
