OYO Hotels & Homes, the world's fastest-growing hotel chain has reached a remarkable milestone when it welcomed 1,000,000 guests in Thailand; less than 3 months since beginning operations in Thailand.

OYO brings its successful model of combining design, hospitality, and technological expertise, financial acumen and operational capabilities to Thailand, giving asset owners the ability to optimize revenue and bring operational efficiency–in every OYO building.

Thailand is OYO's 5th and most recent foray into SouthEast Asia, where it has already established and advanced strong market leadership positions in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.
There are currently 500+ OYO hotels with 15,000 rooms across 25 cities in Thailand. All OYO properties come the OYO promise of Air-conditioning, Free WIFI, TV and clean linen for all travelers.

Ashutosh Singh, Country Head, OYO Thailand said when OYO opened its doors in Thailand, it wanted to change the way people live and did that by upgrading unbranded hotels into great quality living spaces, offering them at affordable prices in the best locations around the kingdom.

"1,000,000 guests and 3 months later, we continue to be guided by that mission and are humbled by the support we've received and continue to receive from our guests and hotel partners. To have 15000+ rooms in 500+ hotels across Thailand in just 3 months is an endorsement of the positive change we've brought to the industry and the impact we've had on Tourism in Thailand, on all our guests and asset partners."

He adds, "We continue to be bullish on Thailand. The emergence of new locations, the increase in the number of flights into the country and the introduction of Visa-on-arrival to tourists from India has seen a marked increase in the number of tourist arrivals into Thailand. Thailand is a popular choice for first-time Indian tourists as distances are short and travel is easy thanks to some 3,000 direct flights now being offered by various carriers between both main and secondary destinations including Phuket."

"We are excited at the prospect of collaborating with Tourism Authority of Thailand to extend OYO's brand of Hospitality to reinforce Thailand's position as a top destination for tourism and achieve its target of 40.8 million tourist arrivals in Thailand by December 2020. All 500+ OYO hotels in 25 cities in Thailand are ready to offer guests our unique brand of hospitality and give them unique experiences and better value each time they stay with us," concluded Ashutosh.

OYO has revolutionized the fragmented and legacy-driven budget hospitality space by empowering small and independent asset owners with revenue management efficiencies, operational capabilities and technology that enables them to compete with big hotel chains.

Globally, OYO is present in 800+ cities across 80 countries. These include 250+ cities over 2,500+ franchised and leased hotels across Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand.
