KASIKORNBANK (KBank) has reinforced its strategy of providing risk protection and management for customers through health and accident insurance coverage. The Sick but Safe "Dengue fever insurance" program is designed for all levels of customers – particularly low- to medium-income earners – so that they can gain access to a quality insurance product with full coverage at an affordable price. The program will help customers cope with rising medical expenses amid numerous emerging diseases. With premiums starting at 99 Baht, this insurance product is aimed at protecting customers from dengue fever – one of the most common rainy season outbreaks.

It is estimated that dengue fever will infect around 140,000 people in Thailand in 2020, mostly children aged 5-14 and the elderly, according to the Bureau of Epidemiology, Department of Disease Control. Currently, medical expenses for this disease are around 30,000-90,000 Baht per patient. Buying an insurance product can help customers cover their medical expenses.

KBank recently introduced the Sick but Safe" Dengue fever insurance "program for people from 1 to 70 years old, with a relatively low premium of 99 Baht. It provides both IPD and OPD coverage for the insured suffering from dengue fever of up to 50,000 Baht per visit, and daily compensation at a maximum of 1,800 Baht per day for those under IPD care, for up to 30 days. The Sick but Safe "Dengue fever insurance" program has been designed to meet the needs of not only parents who want a dengue fever insurance plan for their children, but also the elderly and general public for their protection against the costs of dengue fever as well.

Interested persons can register for the “Worry-free Insurance for Dengue Fever” program at any KASIKORNBANK branch or get additional details at http://kbank.co/32IQVJA, or call the K-Contact Center at tel. 02-888-8888.
