Deutsche Bank appoints Frank Krings as Chief Country Officer for Thailand and General Manager Deutsche Bank Bangkok Branch

Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Frank Krings as Chief Country Officer for Thailand and General Manager of Deutsche Bank AG Bangkok Branch.

As Chief Country Officer, Mr. Krings will have responsibility for all of Deutsche Bank’s businesses lines and employees in Thailand and relationships with regulators and other institutions, as well as being a key interface with clients. He will report to Robert Rankin, Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific (ex Japan).

Announcing the appointment Robert Rankin said, “Frank brings significant depth of global financial services experience and expertise to the region and to Thailand. He is very well placed to lead our rapidly expanding business in Thailand, which is an important part of the bank’s regional growth strategy.”

Mr. Krings rejoined Deutsche Bank after serving as Member of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer at Munich based Hypo Real Estate and Deutsche Pfandbriefbank from October 2008 through December 2010.

He previously spent 12 years with Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and New York, where he was most recently the Group’s Chief Operating Officer Europe and Member of the Management Committee Germany as well as the Global Chief Operating officer of Regional Management and a member of the Regional Management Executive Committee. Mr. Krings also served on the statutory boards of several of Deutsche Bank’s subsidiaries and affiliates across Europe and held senior management positions within internal M&A and strategy groups.
