Miss Wanphen Mungpiensakul, Managing Director of RMI Co, Ltd. the REIT Manager of IMPACT Growth Real Estate Investment Trust (IMPACT Growth REIT), said the trust showed total revenue of 1,911.8 million baht for the April 2016 -March 2017 period. Its revenue fell -10% when compared with last year because the decreasing occupancy rate as the economic slowdown and the mourning period after October 13, 2016 so that entertainment events and exhibition events were postponed and cancelled. This made the occupancy rate for year 2016/2017 dropped to 46% thus the trust has reported the net profit for 998.7 million baht or reduced by -16%
Miss Wanphen continued that the company's board of directors approved to pay dividend to the trust's unitholders for the fourth time at 0.15 baht per unit, the closing of unitholder registration on June 8, 2017, and the payment on June 22, 2017. This was the fourth dividend payment or the total of 0.66 baht per unit in the fiscal year of 2016/2017
For the 2017/2018 fiscal year, IMPACT Growth REIT expected its service income at 2,045 million baht or increase by 7% from the previous fiscal year, and the average occupancy rate will be higher than 50% with 10 new events. Total events to be held at its IMPACT Muang Thong Thani will be 1,000 for the whole year.
"In 2017/2018 we expected the venue service income would recover from the concert and entertainment events that adjusted to be better from last year, along with the Property Manager has planned to launch the marketing campaign to reach for the small group meeting and wedding event by increasing quality and technology to be the venue with premium and full service provider. Also the Property Manager has considered to do roadshow in abroad to offer meeting venue and hotel room in total package, this is expected to have good feedback result"
