SET grooms young table tennis athletes towards international tournaments

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), jointly with The Table Tennis Association of Thailand (TTAT),has organized "SET Star Junior Table Tennis" project for the fifth year to groom young Thai table tennis athletes for international success. SET has also optimized the use of table tennis in improving health of Thais of all ages and genders under "SET Table Tennis for Everyone" project.

SET Senior Executive Vice President Krisada Sektrakul, said that SET has played a role to not only support investors and business toward sustainable growth but also provide benefits to society under the vision "To Make the Capital Market 'Work' for Everyone". Apart from the "SET Star Junior Table Tennis" project, this year SET and TTAT have extended collaboration to push table tennis to become more popular through "SET Table Tennis for Everyone" project under the concept of "All tables are table tennis tables", defining it as a sport that everyone can play anywhere and anytime for fun and health.

Furthermore, SET has also promoted table tennis among capital market alliances with an aim at jointly creating positive impact to the society by organizing "SET Table Tennis Championship 2018" to win Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's cup. The fund raised also goes to support the Thai Para table tennis team preparing for the 2018 Asian Para Games.

TTAT President Piradej Pruttipruk said that SET's continuous support means a lot to the association. Over the past five years, the association has gained success as the athletes have shown outstanding performance, enhancing the Thai table tennis reputation. As for the "SET Table Tennis for Everyone" project, we will promote and attract newcomers, including the underprivileged and adults, while further providing knowledge and sharpening skills of the sport professionals.
