A fascinating event celebrated primarily in Southeast Asia, the Vegetarian Festival this year falls on 8th – 17th October, where Liu Chinese restaurant has prepared a special vegetarian menu for this exciting and delicious occasion.

Begun many decades ago in southern Thailand by Chinese immigrants who were believed to have been cured of malaria through a strict vegetarian diet, the festival held in Phuket, Thailand, every year is famous for its feats of superhuman endurance and the wealth of delectable vegetarian dishes available.

At Liu Chinese restaurant our expert Hong Kong native chef Jacky Chan has prepared an extremely scrumptious 5-course set menu of vegetarian delights to enjoy throughout the festival period, with dishes both nutritious and of course delicious.

Marvelous appetizers are followed by a soup of double boiled wild mushroom soup with cordyceps flower, Goji berry and fresh coconut meat. Three difference main courses are offered to choose from, including Sauteed prawns and scallop with asparagus in mini basket; a succulent braised abalone and ham, black mushroom slices in oyster sauce; and Deep fried fresh fruits roll with mango sauce. The mouthwatering dessert is so delicious that you will probably want to come every day of the festival with friends and family!

Liu is open for lunch daily from 11:30 – 14:30 hrs and for dinner 18:00 – 10:30 hrs, and is located on the 3rd floor of Conrad Bangkok. For more information, please call 02 690 9999 or e-mail [email protected]. Visit us on www.relishbangkok.com/liu and find us on www.facebook.com/conradbangkokhotel
