SET announces winner of Capital Market Innovation Awards 2018

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), in collaboration with The Securities and Exchange Commission, the Association of Thai Securities Companies, the Association of Investment Management Companies and the Thai Listed Companies Association, has announced the winners of the Thai capital market's first-ever innovation competition "Capital Market Innovation Awards 2018" with "CRM system for Better Communication by AVA" team from Market Anyware Co. Ltd and "FundConnext" team from SET winning the prestigious innovation awards for outstanding initiatives.

SET Chairman Chaiyawat Wibulswasdi said that the Capital Market Innovation Awards 2018 has been initiated with an objective to motivate the creation of innovations to keep pace with demand of investors and stakeholders in the industry 4.0 era. The competition will help achieve sustainable development of the Thai capital market, while recognizing the initiators of outstanding innovations. In fact this is the extension of an internal event that SET initiated to promote organization-wide innovative culture.

"This event marks the start of the momentum to motivate more innovations and creativity within the capital market while inspiring and preparing the Thai capital market to firmly cope with challenges in an ever-changing global landscape. The event has been well-received with 60 qualified submissions from the capital market sector, universities, FinTechs and the general public," added Chaiyawat.

The winners of the Capital Market Innovation Awards 2018 are:
  • Winner:
1) "CRM system for Better Communication by AVA" team from Market Anyware Co. Ltd
2) "FundConnext" team from SET
  • First Runner-Up: N/A
  • Second Runner-Up:
1) "AccRevo" team from Accounting Transformations Co., Ltd.
2) "Odini" team from Robowealth Mutual Fund Brokerage Securities Co. Ltd.
3) "Skynet" team from Skynet Systems Co., Ltd.
  • Popular Vote Award: "Digital Wealth Revolution" team from Yuanta Securities (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

The total value of the awards was over THB 800,000 (Approx. USD 24,000). The submission of entries started in April, 2018. There were 20 projects that made it to the semi-final round in August.
