IMPACT Chefs Turn Thai Food & Chocolate into Gold World culinary judges bestowed top honors for chefs at Thailand’s largest MICE venue

Fine dining is not only reserved for the world’s top restaurants. The professional chefs at IMPACT won gold medals for their skills preparing modern Thai cuisine and creating a chocolate sculpture at Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge. Over 300 professional chefs entered in this interdisciplinary competition which was held over five days.

Competition categories ranged from a Mekong River Culinary Challenge to team Ice Carving. Of the twelve classes entered by IMPACT chefs, ten resulted in medal finishes. In addition to Ms. Khanittha Rammasing gold performance from Modern Thai Cuisine, her teammate Mr. Phatharaol Rodphol won silver. For his outstanding chocolate showpiece in the Free Style competition, Mr.Saranyoo La-ong Phao won the gold for the IMPACT team.

Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge 2012 was endorsed by World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) to promote and recognize the skills and professionalism of both young and professional chefs within Thailand. There were 10 WACS international chefs who joined with 10 Thai chefs to form the judging panel. The competition was hosted during THAIFEX — World of Food ASIA 2012, an International Trade Fair. The event was inclusive of everything in relation to food industry from processing technology and ingredients to end products, covering food & beverage, catering, food technology, hospitality services, retail and franchises at IMPACT Challenger 1-3, Muang Thong Thani.
