TUF Launched Workplace Expecting Mother Care Pilot Project in Samut Sakhon

Recently, Mr. Chan Shue Chung (5th from left) TUF Assistant Managing Director and Dr. Mongkon Wanitphakdeedecha, Director of Vichaivej International Hospital Samut Sakhon (6th from left) presided over the Launch Ceremony of the mother and child care in the work place as the first Pilot Project of its kind in Samut Sakhon province. The objective is to promote the health of mothers and their children and promote access to public health services for expecting women workers. By launching this pilot project for expecting mother care in the workplace, TUF has become the first factory in Samut Sakhon province to offer such employee benefits.

A key factor to realizing this is the close and continuous cooperation between the government and private sector that care with the aim to promote the health of our employees.

Dr. Mongkon Wanitphakdeedecha, Director of Vichaivej International Hospital Samut Sakhon added, “Vichaivej Hospital group was established over 20 years ago and has been contributing to the health promotion of foreign mothers Burmese mothers and children for over 10 years. Prior to the launch of this project, access to workplace health care by expecting foreign mothers has been a challenge. But now TUF has enabled Vichaivej Hospital to provide comprehensive health care to expecting mothers which will promote health and safety of mothers and newborn children.”
