DITP relishes the remarkable results of TIFF 2015

This year’s grand furniture exposition attracted

9.5% more foreign businesspeople over last year

and generated over 364 Million Baht in sales

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, has announced that it is delighted with the noteworthy results of the Thailand International Furniture Fair 2015 or TIFF 2015 recently held during March 11th-15th, 2015. The event welcomed a total of 32,583 visitors from Thailand and overseas – with the number of visiting foreign business people increasing by 9.5% over the previous year. The 5-day event generated over 364.38 Million Baht in sales.

Mrs. Nantawan Sakuntanaga, Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under the Ministry of Commerce, stated that, “DITP was highly satisfied with the results of the Thailand International Furniture Fair 2015 which was showcased from March 11th to 15th, 2015. The event attracted a total of 32,583 visitors from all over the world. From this number, 26,482 visitors attended the event during Public Days, while 6,101 business people came during the Trade Days. Of the 6,101 business people attending, 1,118 were foreigners and 4,983 were Thais. Top five countries with the highest numbers of visitors were Malaysia, Japan, the United States, Taiwan and China, respectively.”

The number of visiting foreign business people this year has significantly increased by 9.5%, from 1,021 last year to 1,118 this year. The event generated over 364.38 Million Baht in sales – 312.5 Million Baht of which was obtained during Trade Days and 51.88 Million Baht during Public Days.
