Lazada Donates to World Vision for Children’s Breakfasts on its 3rd Anniversary

Lazada Thailand Co. Ltd (www.lazada.co.th), South-East Asia’s largest online shopping mall, marked its 3rd anniversary by donating 50,000 Baht to World Vision Foundation of Thailand (WVFT) for its ‘Breakfast for Kids’ project. Mr. Riccardo Basile, Lazada Thailand’s CEO, presented the donation to Dr. Bunjongsek Supsopha, WVFT’s Marketing and Fundraising Director, at Lazada Thailand’s head office recently. The funds were raised from the campaign: ‘Shopping to Fill Children’s Empty Stomachs’.

As part of the campaign, Lazada Thailand donated 30 Baht from every purchase made on its website using the campaign discount code, to a child under WVFT’s ‘Breakfast for Kids’ project. The ‘Breakfast for Kids’ project works to provide nutritious morning meals to children ages 2-5 years old in 90 child care centers in 11 provinces across Thailand.

Mr. Riccardo Basile, CEO of Lazada Thailand said, “We are thrilled that customers joined us in this campaign and helped feed thousands of underprivileged children in Thailand.”

Dr. Bunjongsek Supsopha, WVFT’s Marketing and Fundraising Director said, “We thank Lazada Thailand for giving impoverished children nutritious meals, which will nurture them as they become valuable resources for the future of Thailand.”
