GetLinks is preparing to push Thailand to become a digital economy by organizing 'Bangkok Startup Job Fest' under the theme 'Bringing Silicon Valley to Bangkok,' the first of its kind in the kingdom. Highlights are not only job opportunities, but also inspirations for a modern generation.

'Bangkok Startup Job Fest,' Thailand's first job fair for startups, will be organized by GetLinks at C – Asean Center, CyberWorld, 10th Floor, Ratchadapisek Road, Thailand Cultural Center MRT station, exit 1, on Saturday 25 – Sunday 26, 2015.

GetLinks, the organizer, is an application for the personnel of startups. The event is aimed at creating a network to enhance and support big enterprises, successful startups, newly-established startups, interested people seeking opportunities in the startup business, and successful startup owners in Thailand. What's more, the job fair is expected to inspire participants and raise awareness of the important role of technology startups (Tech Startup) which can help push Thailand to completely become a digital economy. Therefore, the event is designed to bring together all sectors so that they can create mutual relations in terms of trade, investment, business cooperation, job opportunities, and inspirations.

The event will invite members of the young generation to exchange ideas with leading tech startups in order that they can learn about the differences between startups and big enterprises. The big companies will also have opportunities to discuss with professionals from various careers who are seeking work challenges, and can immediately recruit new staff. Guest speakers from Thailand's leading startups are also invited to share knowledge and experiences, and inspire the young generation as well.

Mr Polpat Songthamjitti, the Head Organizer of Bangkok Startup Job Fest and CMO and Co-Founder of GetLinks Co., Ltd. said, "This event is not a normal job fair as those in the startup business are all driven by their passion for their work. They focus on solving problems and develop the society in a sustainable manner with their repeatable and scalable creative business models. Therefore, we focus on building a network to inspire and encourage the young generation to explore opportunities for alternative careers. I would say that this job fair is not only suitable for those already in the startup business, but can show the big picture of the industry to those who would like to know startup better."

Besides, this event is strongly supported by many renowned government and private organizations, such as NSTDA, Thailand Tech Startup Association, C asean, Hubba Thailand, Techsauce, Google Thailand, Thai Livestream, Global Entrepreneurship Week, Kairos ASEAN, AISEC, and other successful startups. Every sector is determined to push the Thai startup network to become a startup ecology, in which all parties support one another in a sustainable way. Moreover, startup is expected to be one of the industries taking Thailand to enter the invaluable digital economy with limited natural resources but the human resource to be mainly developed.

"We would like this event to be really Thai-owned, where we show how the Thai startup business is ready to the international startup industry, and investors who are looking for investment opportunities in the Thai startups. We will let them see the cooperation from all sectors, which eventually transforms this event to become a successful startup ecology like Silicon Valley," Mr Polpat concluded.

All sectors will have opportunities to know each other and exchange ideas and experiences, which will bring success to themselves, their organizations, and the country's economy in the future.
