Sino-Pacific Trading Thailand celebrates its 45th anniversary by granting scholarships to 192 students and constructing the drinking water filtration systems for 21 public schools and educational institutions worth a total of Bht 4.68 million.

The scholarships cover a three-year period of upper secondary education from grade 10-12 starting from the current school year 2015-2017.

With the new drinking water filtration systems some 4,113 students from 21 schools plus an educational office will now have ample supplies of free drinking water which they previously needed to purchase by the bottles.

Mr Savet Savetsomphob, Senior Executive Director of Sino- Pacific Trading (Thailand) Co Ltd, said, "As part of our 45th anniversary of operation in Thailand we have implemented a project called 'Term Fun Pun Naam Jai' (Fill a Dream with Kindness).

"We have worked closely with the Education for Development Foundation (EDF) on the scholarships of 192 grade 10 students (Mattayom 4) nationwide to complete their education through grade 12 (Mattayom 6). We also contributed drinking water filtration systems to 21 schools and one educational office in Pathum Thani province."

He said his company understood the importance of community development and it looked forward to seeing the scholars complete their upper secondary education and play their roles as productive members of their families, their communities and the country.

"Receiving this scholarship will be very helpful and it will lighten the load on our parents for three years until I complete upper secondary school. I will make full use of my scholarship and not let it go to waste," said Ms Sunisa Thonglarp, a grade 10 student of Chumchon Prachathipat Wittayakarn School of Pathum Thani province and who is among the 192 students awarded with scholarships.
