Metropolis like Bangkok is a strategic trade hub for South East Asia which witnesses the growing trend of SMEs who are the core factors attracting investments to this region. However, the resources for corrugated and folding carton industry in Thailand still requires integrated connections among community members to promote sustainable growth. Moreover, we need to reflect the overview of industry. These factors are part of the reason we have decide to bring our successful European exhibition to the region in 'CCE South East Asia - Thailand 2016'. Together with the strong support from Thai Corrugated Packaging Association, Thai Screen Printing and Graphic Imaging Association and Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau."

Taking place during 21 – 23 September 2016 at BITEC, Bangkok, CCE South East Asia - Thailand 2016 will be an international exhibition on technologies for corrugated and folding carton industry. Thai Corrugated Packaging Association's President, Ravi Kasemsant, shared "We support 'CCE South East Asia - Thailand 2016' to promote trade and investment opportunities for entrepreneurs in corrugated packaging industry so they can explore new marketing channels in this trade platform on B2B basis. Thus, new investment opportunities can be developed. Community members can get updated on industrial movements and exchange experiences at the seminar sessions. This exhibition is in line with our visions to encourage corrugated packaging manufacturers to fulfill domestic and global demands with good quality and standards. In addition, we will collaborate with government sector to enable manufacturers to supply quality products as directed by Thai government."

The Thai Corrugated Packaging Association is an assemble of entrepreneurs in corrugated packaging industry. As over 90% of products available in market require corrugated packages, the growth index of this industry is correlate with the growth of local and global economies. The Association aims to support entrepreneurs to get ready for the upcoming AEC by the end of this year.

Thai Corrugated Packaging Association's Vice President, International Affairs, Montri Mahaplerkpong added "Over the past 5 years, the annual growth rate of Thai corrugated packaging industry has been around 4%. In 2014, the overall market value was 53 billion baht and we would see almost the same figure due to the stagnant economies and industries across Thailand and the region this year. However, the growth rate would be around 2.5 – 3% as the product will grow along with several potential sectors such as Food & Beverage, Consumers Products and Automotive Manufacturing. The main industry such as Food & Beverage will maintain the country's status as the regional leader due to our ability to provide raw materials for the region. Moreover, Thailand is well-equipped and can offer a complete supply chain from upstream to downstream with systematic sourcing processes. There are also multiple qualified manufacturers who can serve a wide range of industries.

The upcoming AEC will promote cross-border trade along with the development infrastructure and logistics. These factors would further benefit Thai industries and trades which also include corrugated packages. The expansion of production capacity of factories in Thailand and Vietnam would further support the industrial growth and sustain the competitive advantages in AEC market with confidence. Therefore, the launch of CCE South East Asia 2016 would help entrepreneurs to discover new networking opportunities"

Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau's Director, Exhibitions and Events Department, Jaruwan Suwannasat, added "The overview of MICE industry for Q3 of fiscal year 2015 was satisfying as the number of visitors and the amount of revenue were higher compared with the same period last year. Thailand's MICE industry was most visited by businessmen from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, China, and India."
