Aloft Hotels has appointed Derrick Gooch as its new General Manager of Aloft Bangkok – Sukhumvit 11.

Derrick Gooch who joined the 297-room Aloft Bangkok – Sukhumvit 11 in July 2016, comes with 14 years hospitality experience with a strong affiliation to Bangkok and Thailand which he made his permanent home. His background as a hotel manager at The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa, select serve management with Compass Hospitality and over his most recent role as the General Manager of Fraser Suites Sukhumvit in Bangkok where he has been for the last 5 years, make him an especially suited leader for Aloft Bangkok – Sukhumvit 11.

Derrick holds an MBA from Glion Institute of Higher Education, International Hospitality Management and he's passionate about spa and meditation. In 2002, Derrick's passion for the hospitality industry sparked at Evason Hua Hin Resort & Spa, where he held various roles before moving to Compass Hospitality as General Manager.
