IKEA wants to inform customers who have bought one or more of the affected IKEA chocolate products that these products are not suitable for people allergic or sensitive to hazelnuts and / or almonds. IKEA is recalling these products.

IKEA has expanded the ongoing chocolate recall by a further six IKEA chocolate products, which are not suitable for persons allergic or sensitive to hazelnuts and / or almonds.

Product safety and quality are of the highest priority to IKEA. The global recall concerns all best before dates of all affected products.

Hazelnuts and almonds are frequently present in these products, underlining the fact that these chocolate products are not suitable for consumption by people allergic or sensitive to these allergens.

The product labels do not state the frequent presence of these allergens clearly enough, but rather state that they "may contain" these allergens. The product information on the product labels may possibly be misleading and is therefore not compliant with legislation in several markets. Based on IKEA's high safety and quality standards we have decided to recall the affected products globally, irrespective of the legislation in respective markets.

The products are safe for anyone not allergic or sensitive to almonds and / or hazelnuts. IKEA has not received reports of any allergic reactions in connection with the six additional products added to the ongoing chocolate recall.

Concerned customers are welcome to return affected products to the Swedish Food Market, IKEA Bangna store, or the IKEA Pick-up and order point in Phuket for a full refund.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
