Effective from December 1, 2016, seasoned international hospitality industry sales & marketing professional Ms. Corinne Janssen is the new Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing responsible for The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, and Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas, part of the Marriott International Inc portfolio of hotels and resorts around the world.
As the daughter of an international oil industry executive, Corinne Janssen has spent her life traveling the world, drawing inspiration for her successful career from the many locations, cultures and people she has experienced. While she was born in the Netherlands, Ms. Janssen has lived in 15 countries, including Macau, Turkey, the USA, Fiji, Australia and Thailand.
Ms. Janssen most recently served as Director of Sales – Associations, Sales Operations and Events Service for Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, Cotai Central and The St. Regis Macao, Cotai Central, a complex with 4,401 rooms and 15,000 sqm of meeting space which she helped open. She is no stranger to Thailand as she also served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok in 2010. Prior to this, Ms. Janssen held the position of Vice President of Sales for the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, one of Asia's largest integrated resorts, where she managed hotel and convention center sales with a sales force of more than 70 associates in offices throughout Asia.
From 2004 to 2007, Ms. Janssen was the Director of Sales & Marketing for Starwood in Waikiki, Honolulu. In this role, she led the sales and marketing efforts of four of Waikiki's most highly regarded properties; Sheraton Waikiki, Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort & Spa, Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort. Before moving to Hawaii, Ms. Janssen spent 7 years in the South Pacific, holding positions in Fiji and French Polynesia.
Ms. Janssen's career started with Sheraton Hotels in Europe, where she held sales and marketing roles with several properties in Belgium and Turkey.
Ms. Janssen graduated from the Hotel School HOSTA in Leysin, Switzerland, with diplomas in hotel management and administration. She is married, loves cats and enjoys spending time exploring the world, learning new languages and scuba diving.
