Chu Toro at Elements The Okura Prestige Bangkok

Throughout the month of May at Elements restaurant at The Okura Prestige Bangkok, Executive Chef Antony Scholtmeyer is offering a menu based around succulent tuna. Chu Toro is a medium fatty tuna that is renowned the world over for its unique taste and texture. It is taken from the belly of the tuna fish and is highly prized in Japan.

Chef Antony's mouthwatering dishes, which can be enjoyed à la carte or as part of special 4- and 5-course Chu Toro set menu with dessert, feature a Chu Toro Tartare with yuzu jelly, water cress, fresh wasabi and sashimi sorbet. This is followed by a cured Gravlax-style Chu Toro with avocado, smoked tofu, potato wafer, and a piquant mustard sauce. Up next is a Dashi Broth incorporating of smoked Chu Toro with ginger, bonito and foie gras. From the grill comes a Chu Toro steak served with white asparagus, soba, dried olives and oyster leaves, and finally a Chu Toro Char Coal steak with Swiss chard, beetroot, beef cheek croquette, and sauce mousseline.

Menus bases around Chu Toro are available from 2 - 31 May 2017, Tuesday to Saturday, 6 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. 4 courses menu is Baht 3,900++ per person, Baht 5,900++ per person for 5 courses menu and à la carte dishes from Baht 800++.
