Held under a 'Moving Food Forward Together' theme, the event challenged professional chef Korn Kantasirivanich, Chef de Partie at Centara Grand, Central Ladprao, to create a menu utilizing primarily UHT products from Thailand and exclusive imports from around the world, to project how Thailand's future UHT offerings could develop.

"Ultra-Heat Treatment Technology, innovated by Tetra Pak more than six decades ago, has revolutionized the food and beverages industry and the way food is protected. Today UHT products fit into our demanding lifestyles more than ever by offering consumers safe, nutritious and convenient solutions. In addition to product benefits and functionality, we are excited to introduce new growing product categories such as drinking yoghurt, soup, syrup, edible oil and coffee into the Thai market," says Wanchai Suwannate, Sales Director at Tetra Pak Thailand.

Another innovation profiled through the event was food, such as pasta sauce, fruites and corn, packed in Tetra Recart™ cartons - the world's first retortable carton package that allows sterilization within the package.Shelf life for food within a Tetra Recart™ package is up to 24 months and the carton itself is easy to handle and open, wile fitting in with existing waste recycling streams.

Utilizing UHT packaging technology offers six primary consumer benefits:

1. Food and beverages are safe for immediate consumption.

2. Nutrition and flavours are protected.

3. Products can be kept at room temperature without refrigeration

4. No added preservatives.

5. The carton's light weight requires less energy output for logistics and storage.

6. Convenient packaging solutions for on-the-go consumption.

"As demonstrated at the workshop, our technology not only addresses today's market needs but also the needs of the future. Thailand's food industry is evolving, with retailers and food producers increasingly looking for innovative processing and packaging solutions that offer multi-benefits, reduce costs, energize sales and minimize environmental impact. Tetra Pak Thailand will continue to work with customers and the indusry to cater to consumer demands and also help the sustainable growth of Thailand's economy," concludes Wanchai Suwannate.
