The SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (Public Organization) or SACICT led by CEO Mrs. Amparwon Pichalai hosted a press conference to announce its readiness to launch "The 10th Fai Tor Jai" specially held under the concept of "Contemporary Thai ways through Hand-Woven Thai Cotton" in order to raise awareness toward the role of Thai cotton in daily life. Being a Today's life craft, Thai cotton is not also used in garment industry but it can be adapted in any lifestyle crafts. This, thus, results in the local wisdom being promoted, and values and revenue of craftsmen sustainably increased.

The talk on "Contemporary Thai Ways through Hand-Woven Thai Cotton" will be arranged and a Fashion show under the concept "Magic Beams" designed by Ek Thongprasert, a celebrated designer whose collection was inspired by the cotton-woven fabric with 5 special wales from The Foundation For the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen (SUPPORT) and a royal music, "Magic Beams", the 28th composition of His Majesty the Late King, will be taken place. The presenters of the collection are Miss Fonthip Watchharatrakul, Miss Thailand Universe 2010 and Miss Chalida Suansane, Miss Thailand Universe 2016.

"The 10th Fai Tor Jai" will be held to commemorate and praise His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit as the patrons of Thai craftsmanship who encouraged cotton weaving to raise people's income. Also, it is to add value to cotton products, which will boost the popularity of Thai cotton and create the connections in both public and private sectors to purchase the developed cotton products. This inspires value and beauty recognition of Thai crafts, especially Thai cotton as "Today Life's Craft" among people.

Besides, there will be various activities- 150 shops of SACICT members; the exhibition under the theme "From His Majesty's Royal Kindness; the exhibition "Cotton Weaving Community" which assembles gifted craftspeople and their successors in cotton weaving of Thailand; a workshop by an experienced in fabric dying art, tie dying, accessory making with cotton, and embroidery. The highlighted activity will be the sale of cotton fabric with 5 special wales from The Foundation For the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen (SUPPORT).
