“PTT - BAAC Together for Farmers” to provide distribution channels and promote sustainable community development

PTT and BAAC worked together to assist Thai farmers with selling stands in PTT gas stations nationwide to deliver quality products directly to consumers for a better agricultural economy.

Today (25 September, 2017), PTT Public company Limited and Bank for Agricuture and Agricultural Co-operatives (BAAC) held a MOU signing ceremony of "PTT-BAAC Together for Farmers"which was presided over by Mr. Auttapol Rerkpiboon, Senior Executive Vice President, Oil Business Unit, PTT Public Company Limited and Mr. Somsak Kangteerawat, Senior Executive Vice President of Bank for Agricuture and Agricultural Co-operatives.

Mr. Auttapol stated that PTT allocated areas for selling goods and products of BAAC's clients atselected PTT gas stations through out the country during a period of pricing crash. BAAC will pick merchandises and distribute various agricultural products in each area. PTT welcomes BAAC branch office or a self service banking machines at PTT gas stations, which provides convenience to the customers. Moreover, PTT and BAAC have also joined hand in promoting the enviroment and social project such as knowledge sharing by PTT specialist in lube oil use for agricultural machines.

Mr. Somsak said PTT and BAAC have collaborated since 2012 in helping clients who have the Farmer Credit Card to refuel at PTT gas stations to be able to balance their spending and income. This event will completely fullfil products of agricuture's value chain in producing, processing and marketing which will lead to a provincial development with a strong economic system and provide a sustainable quality of life to Thai people.

"BAAC has a strong belief in PTT cooperation because of its distribution network of gas stations countrywide so that framers have more opportunity to distribute their quality seasonal products directly to the customers. Moreoevevr, BAAC will develop a payment method in A-Mobile and QR Code system to decrease cash dependence and enhance customers convenience so they just scan vendor's QR Code to make a purshase. This MOU is also in compliance with government's policy in terms of providing more marketing channels, raising revenues, supporting primary economic and developing a sustainable thai agricultures," Mr. Somsak closed the dialog.
