Thailand won the right to organize the Air Race1 World Cup Thailand Presented by Chang

A major national event during the end of 2017

Sports Authority of Thailand, Ministry of Tourism and Sports together with the Navy have arranged for the Air Race1 World Cup Thailand 2017 presented by Chang with Thai Beverage Public Company limited as the main sponsor of the event. Thailand has been granted the right to host the Air Race 1 World Cup presented by Chang competition in 2017 by using U-Tapao International Airport in Rayong as the competing venue. The event will be held between November the 17th-19th 2017. Ms. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Minister of Tourism and Sports stated that this Air Race1 World Cup is the first and largest competition to be held in Thailand and Asia. It has been a great opportunity for Thailand to be granted host of the tournament, as it is a part of national strategy in promoting sports and tourism together under the Amazing Thailand Sport Tourism Plan 2018 from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. This event is based on the idea of promoting world-class sport events which have high market value with large numbers of high-income followers to come and hold tournaments in Thailand and using world class tourist attractions as the competition location. The goal of bringing in the Air Race1 World Cup tournament into Thailand for the first time is to increase revenue from high-income international tourists. In this year, Thai government will also have the honor to host the International Fleet Reviews 2017 in November at Sattahip Bay, in Chonburi province, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN.

The Air Race1 World Cup Thailand 2017 presented by Chang will be held between November the 17th-19th 2017 at U-Tapao International Airport, Ratong Province. There will be a live national broadcast on Thairath TV or channel 32, interested parties can watch the competitions right by the field, by getting tickets priced at 100, 300, 500, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 Baht via www.thaiticketmajor.com and at the ticket booth in front of the event.
