Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Thailand stunned Thai agencies as it swept up 10 awards at the prestigious London International Award (LIA) 2017. The success attributed to Ogilvy & Mather being awarded the first-ever Regional Network of the Year for Asia title.

Thailand made history at the 23rd LIAs as the country won a record total of 21 statues, including nine Golds, seven Silvers and 5 Bronzes plus three finalists. Out of these, Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Thailand claimed 10, including four Golds, four Silvers and two Bronzes as well as one Finalist. Most of the awards obtained are for creative work designed for the "Lego: Build a Future" campaign that inspires children to follow and achieve their dreams.

"I would like to congratulate Ogilvy Bangkok on their wins at LIA 2017. Their wins attributed to Ogilvy being named the first Regional Network of The Year," stated Barbara Levy, President of LIA. "2017 was an amazing year with some exceptional work. Winning a LIA Statue was no easy feat,

and winning 10 LIAs, as Ogilvy Bangkok did, was phenomenal."

Mrs. Punnee Chaiyakul, Chairman, Ogilvy & Mather Group in Thailand, welcomed the historic success. "This is another great year for Ogilvy & Mather Group in Thailand. The awards we received at LIA accounted for almost half of the total awards won by Thai agencies. It is our pride to make Thailand critically acclaimed on the international stage and we are even more proud to contribute to the overall success of the Ogilvy Group network across the region as we obtained the Blue LIA Award for the first-ever Network of the Year for Asia. The Blue statue is a special designation too - above gold, silver, or bronze, as it is only awarded when a certain amount of points has been achieved."

Mr. Wisit Lumsiricharoenchoke, Group Executive Creative Director, Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, said, "Winning 10 statues from LIA is a great achievement. It represents clear proof of our ability to produce work that is not only creative but also effective. What's more important is that our work is well recognized at the international level by prestigious judges from around the world."
