PTT and its networks bring back “Together for Rice Farmers” along with New Rice Festival

Providing space without charge for farmers to distribute rice in PTT service stations nationwide and promoting the New Rice Festival to revive Thai cultural activity and endorse premium local rice.

Today (27 November, 2017) Mr. Tevin Vongvanich, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTTPLC presided over the event of "Together for Rice Farmers Year 2" and "Join the New Rice Festival" along with Mr. Naowarat Pongpaiboon, National Poet of Thailand and Mr. Theerayuth Boonmee, Fulltime-Lecturer, College of Interdisciplinary Studies, Thammasat University and representative of Rice Culture Network to join a talk session at PTT headquarter, Vibhavadi Road, Bangkok.

"Together for Rice Farmers Year 2" is organized to help Thai rice farmers distributing their good quality product directly to customers.While participating in this project, farmers can learn more about rice management on sale and marketing viewpoint. This project will be launched at PTT Headquarter in 3 periods during 18-20 December 2017, 22-26 January 2018, and 12-16 February 2018 and also at 768 PTT service stations nationwide during 1 December 2017 – 28 February 2018. "Apart from promoting economic development and increased rice distribution at PTT service stations through the project of "Together for Rice Farmers Year 2", Thai traditional culture - New Rice Festival also been cherished and brought to light altogether. For this event, PTT as one of network partners is in cooperation with other sectors to revive Thai ancient culture by promoting Thai rice strains to become premium rice from its unique flavors, delicious and nutritious as well," said Mr. Tevin.
