The available list of items for participation are: IOT/home security, interior-exterior materials, structural materials, insulators, water supply/sanitary materials, air conditioning and heating/ventilation equipment, coating/painting/waterproofing materials, landscaping/public facilities materials, lighting/electrical equipment, personalized houses, housing design and construction, housing information/software, windows/hardware materials, all items related to architecture-interior design, etc.
The Secretariat of 2018 KOREA BUILD offers a variety of support programs to lower the burden and maximize promotion potential for participating companies. Whenever a participating company runs commercial advertisements in newspapers, magazines, etc., the secretariat offers 200,000 won for each advertisement not to exceed 2,000,000 won, under the condition of filling a quarter of advertising space with the advertisements provided by the Secretariat. If a participating company wishes to hold a seminar, KOREA BUILD will offer a discounted price for the rental fee of seminar rooms. A banner for each participating company and text-sending invitation service will be provided without cost. KOREA BUILD also runs a sponsor program of promoting the companies via various media.
Special venues for 'Commercial Space Design & Equipment' and 'BATH & KITCHEN' are open to put a spotlight on the fields that are growing fast in the industry.
Simultaneously, various exhibitions including 'Living and Lifestyle (Living, interior industries)', 'HVAC KOREA (Mechanical equipment industry)', and 'Kyeonhyang Real Estate Fair (Real estate industry)' are open. We expect to see positive synergistic effects since the diverse exhibitions of mutually growing industries are held together.
According to the Secretariat staff, "the exhibitions of KOREA BUILD held last February and June in the country's capital, and the regional tour exhibitions held in Gwangju, Daegu, Busan, and Jeju, all received positive appraisals from the participating companies," and "even before the recruiting period begins, inquiries are made continuously."
KOREA BUILD was established in 1986, and is the largest exhibition related to the fields of architecture, construction, and interior design in Korea. More than 800 domestic/international architecture/construction companies and building materials companies participate through almost 3,000 booths installed in the exhibition space. The area of the exhibition is 55,000m2, which is the size of 7 soccer fields. Buyers, practitioners, and related organization staff visit and consult, and/or start business relations on site. Additional events including a seminar for understanding up-to-date government policies and presentations for new products are held together. Since more than 70% of the participating companies introduce their new products and technologies through KOREA BUILD, visitors can encounter the trends, the newest building materials and technological information all at once.
