Better Living : Organic Plant Project

In keeping with a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, and its "Better Living: Organic Plant Project", MBK Hotels and Tourism Co. Ltd., a major division of MBK Group, has united with Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort to offer support to Klong Muong School, located close to the resort.

We firmly believe that children are the future for this project, and, on 15th December 2017, company management visited the school to provide support to the children and local community in developing better and healthier living standards through the introduction of new revenue streams. Our aim was to share knowledge on developing sustainable means of organic plant cultivation to provide a healthier lifestyle and to demonstrate ways of using the cultivated salads and vegetables to generate income. Organic crops were planted and a demonstration of making healthy "salad rolls" as potential revenue earners was shown.

In her opening speech, Arthorn Vanasantakul, Managing Director of MBK Hotels and Tourism Co. Ltd., commented: "Our "Better Living: Organic Plant Project" has been designed to offer assistance and advice for sustainable living to local communities. We want to help the children and the community here to enjoy better living standards and for them to see the fruits of their labor through additional revenues. To support this project, Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort, will be delighted to buy these quality products from the school. MBK Hotels and Tourism Co., Ltd and Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort hope that this project will help bring happiness to Bann Klong Muong School and the community from here onwards."

In response, Sayan Damdee, Principle of Baan Klong Muong School, noted: we enjoy a very good relationship with Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort with many activities, including the "Better Living: Organic Plant Project" and we thank the resort for inviting Wararat Kiatmek, Facilitator of Krabi Extension and Agriculture Development, to share his knowledge with us. We promise to continue to work hard on this project."
